The quality of the NEW NIX 18.5-Inch digital frame is really nice and the range of options for how long you want each picture to display and the transitions are very helpful. This frame was just what I needed. It's great! Resolution is clear (1366 x 768), and the options available are very useful, particularly the ability to set when the frame automatically turns on and off.

I purchased the NIX 18.5 inch Hi-Res Digital Photo Frame about 12 weeks ago and I am extremely please with it. This is the 4th digital frame I've purchased and it is the BEST by far. Unlike CanadianPhoenix I had no issue with loading 1600+ high pixel photos onto a 8GB SD disk and inserting the disk into the disk slot...I got an instant read. This has also been the easiest frame to program.

One feature that would be great to see int he future is the ability to start slide shows based on image tags. I have 15 folders, like Castles, Beaches, Rivers & Waterfalls, Sailing, Sunsets, Resorts, etc. However, some photos fall into multiple categories. So if I have a great sunset picture, but it also features an amazing waterfall next to a giant mountain, it would be great if I could have that picture come up for all three subjects.

• Packaging looks cheap. Wouldn't be good on a retail shelf but it was great for keeping a gift a secret. No way of telling what it was by looking at the box.
• The trim/bezel is about an inch wide. Product would look so much better if the bezel were 1/2 or 1/3" width.

I would definitely recommend this NEW NIX 18.5-Inch Hi-Res Digital Photo Frame X18A. It seems to do a good job of truly randomizing photos (even across separate folders), images are clear, and you can access all of your sub-folders in order to see images from specific folders in the slideshow, excluding others. So far, I find no faults with the frame. If you are looking for a large digital frame, pick this one.
